November 27, First Sunday of Advent
“Hanging of the Green” worship celebration at 10:00 a.m., featuring decoration of the Sanctuary and special musical offerings on flute, piano and organ by Beth McGinnis and Terre Johnson
December 4, Second Sunday of Advent
Families with children aged 4 to Grade 6 are invited to Bethlehem Morning at 8:45. More info. The Sanctuary Choir, the Women’s Choir of Vestavia Hills High School and the Southeastern Chamber Orchestra present the annual concert that has become a popular community event. Time: 10:00 a.m. Location: Sanctuary. Get your seat early!
December 11, Third Sunday of Advent
Our four Children’s Choirs and the Youth Vocal Ensemble present music for the season. 10:00 a.m.
December 18, Fourth Sunday of Advent
A rich Sunday of worship as students and family come home, with music from the Handbell Choir and guest soloist Jake Hemminger. 10:00 a.m.
December 24, Christmas Eve
Come See the Baby, 4:30 p.m. A VHBC favorite with stories, carols, costumes, and Baby Jesus in the manger with animals attending. Bring your children and friends or grandparents for a children-friendly time of celebration! Location: Fellowship Hall
Christmas Eve Communion Service, 8:00 p.m. Our traditional service with candle lighting, carol singing, Communion and the traditional choral benediction Location: Sanctuary
December 25, Christmas Day
Worship on Christmas Day with the VHBC family at 10:00 a.m.. (8:45 Bible study does not meet on December 25 or on January 1. Worship service will meet at the regular time, 10:00 a.m., on New Year's Day.)
NOTE: Church office will be closed December 23, 26-27 and January 2.
Wednesday night activities do not meet on December 21 or December 28.
