Join us for a special Lenten Series starting February 22nd at VHBC

The Gospel of Luke states, “When the days drew near for Jesus to be taken up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem”. Thus begins Luke’s “travel narrative,” and it does not end until Luke 19 as Jesus enters Jerusalem. During this journey, Jesus’s primary focus seems to be on teaching his followers how to be disciples who will carry on his work once he is no longer physically with them. It is not surprising that their tasks are the same as he expects us to fulfill as 2021 disciples; therefore, the lessons he taught them are ones that we need to learn or possibly “fine-tune.” With this in mind, for the next six Mondays, we will examine together a few of these teachings.

Join LaRue Speights each Monday for a new Lenten study in the Sanctuary at 10:30 am. You may sign up to attend in person or join virtually. Sessions will be recorded and available on vhbc.com.
