Combined Adult Bible Study begins this Sunday!
During the month of July, our adult Bible study classes are invited to meet together in the Fellowship Hall and explore the Sons of Jacob. These sessions will be taught by Laura Tadlock. The families of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob reflect the cultural norms of their day. They also reflect personal and family dysfunctions such as sibling rivalry, jealousy, impulsivity, lust, anger, and deception. These failings transcend time and reflect something of our own experience of humanity and family.
The exciting and dramatic stories include timeless themes of integrity, love, forgiveness, repentance, and faith. Over the next five weeks, we will look at some stories that are familiar but also some more obscure lessons about the children of Jacob. The stories of the patriarchs and matriarchs of our faith contain some of the more challenging details to understand and apply to our lives. Come and join together Sundays in July, as we study Jacob's family and the important lessons we might glean from their lives.
