On Sunday, June 4th, we will celebrate the fifth anniversary of Marty Watts’ ministry at Vestavia Hills Baptist Church. His contributions leading our music ministry, as a member of our pastoral staff, and as a friend and servant among us have been a blessing to us all. Marty is an integral part of our worship, consistently exhibiting thoughtfulness in planning. He also demonstrates exceptional leadership, not only in directing our adult choir, but also our handbell choir and providing leadership to our overall children’s choir program. In addition to his musical giftedness, Marty provides invaluable pastoral care to our members across the breadth of our congregation. He coordinates the reception of those new to our church and manages a variety of teams that intersect with our worship experience such as the Worship Technology, Flower & Decorations, Ushers, Ordinance, and Worship Ministry Teams. Our church is blessed by knowing Marty’s family, Karyn and Duncan.
