FEBRUARY 25-26, 2022
AT VHBC
“Come to me all you who are weary, and I will give you rest.” - Jesus
Sometimes we think of our spiritual lives like another item on our ever-growing to-do list...
Read devotional, check.
Go to church, check.
Pray with kids, check.
Serve at the local shelter, check.
These are all beautiful ways to participate in the life of God, but sometimes amid the bustle, we forget Jesus' insistence that his yoke is easy, and his burden is light. We forget his invitation to come when we are weary and find rest for our souls.
Take a few days apart this February to rest — with Jesus, with others, and with your own heart. Meg Lacy Vega, an ordained Minister and certified Yoga Instructor, will lead us in exploring rest with our bodies, minds, and souls, and equip us with simple tools for finding moments of rest in the midst of our daily lives.
Meg received her BA in Religion from Samford University and her MDiv from Candler School of Theology at Emory, University. Meg is a 200-hour Certified Yoga Instructor with specializations in Restorative Yoga and Yin Yoga. Meg is passionate about body and breath spirituality, helping us move out of the churning of our minds, and into our bodies where we can experience a new awareness of ourselves and of God. Meg lives with her husband JJ and their two dog-children, Olive & Ruth, outside of Chattanooga, TN.
